Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

A different type of therapy.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is an evidence-based, bottom-up approach that helps release trauma and negative emotions stored in the nervous system.

It’s a gentle and rapid therapy, that uses bilateral stimulation to resolve distressing memories and mental health challenges, without years of talk therapy.

  • Rapid Results

Notice relief in as little as 1–5 sessions.

  • Minimal Talking

No need to retell or relive painful details.

  • A Direct Approach

Guided sessions without overthinking or planning and no homework.

  • Non-Invasive

No repeated exposure to the same painful memories.

  • Closure Oriented

Each session ends with resolution and a positive shift.

What is the Process?

Before beginning ART, we’ll make sure you feel safe, supported, and fully informed. Your first appointment includes an assessment to understand your concerns and goals, along with education about mental health, coping strategies, and how Accelerated Resolution Therapy works.

Each ART session follows a calm, structured process. Through guided visualization and bilateral eye movements, ART helps the brain and body release the emotional and physical patterns connected to distressing memories or experiences.

Most people notice significant shifts within 1–5 sessions, though the number can vary. Afterward, clients are welcome to return as needed for additional support or fine-tuning.

Is ART right for everyone?

Short answer, no. While Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) can be highly effective, it is not appropriate for every person or every clinical situation.

In my private practice, ART is not offered when certain mental health, safety, cognitive, medical, or neurological concerns may interfere with safe and effective participation. This includes current psychosis, schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, acute safety concerns, active substance dependence where detox may be required, significant cognitive impairment, brain injuries that may affect participation, and certain medical or neurological conditions that may increase risk during treatment, such as seizure disorders.
